‘Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Food Products Exhibition Centre’ officially open

The ‘Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Food Products Exhibition Centre’ officially opened on March 31, 2016. A delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and the Ambassadors to Beijing from Portuguese-speaking Countries attended the opening ceremony, held at the Tap Seac Square Commercial Centre.


The Ambassadors from Portuguese-speaking Countries, and the representatives of these countries at the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, praised the ‘Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Food Products Exhibition Centre’. They said the Centre, together with the ‘Economic and Trade Co-operation and Human Resources Portal Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries’ – help in the development of a suite of online and offline platforms to help entrepreneurs and consumers from Portuguese-speaking Countries, Mainland China and Macao.


More than 700 food products from Portuguese-speaking Countries are on display at the newly-opened centre. The centre can help deepen the knowledge about the markets of Portuguese-speaking Countries, promoting at the same time the role of Macao as a commercial services platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
