On December 12, the Governor Ronaldo Caiado celebrated a historic milestone for Goiás with the start of Chinese company Weichai's operations in Itumbiara. A global leader in the engine and industrial equipment market, the Weichai has invested around R$100 million to build a high-tech factory in the state, reinforcing the Goiás' commitment to innovation, job creation and attracting strategic investments.
The factory in Itumbiara will produce high-performance engines and agricultural machinery that will serve not only the Brazilian market, but all of Latin America.
The Secretary for Industry and Trade of Goías, Joel de Sant'Anna Braga Filho, stressed that the arrival of Weichai reaffirms Itumbiara's ability to attract cutting-edge companies and consolidate the Goías as a strategic hub. This is a major step forward for the region's economic and technological development.
