A Brazilian delegation participated in the event “China-Brazil Workshop – Innovation and Biotechnology for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security”. The seminar, held in Beijing on November 12, dealt with innovation and use of technologies to increase productivity and sustainability in soybean production. The delegation was attended by Teresa Cristina, former Minister of Agriculture, and representatives of the Brazilian Association of Corn and Sorghum Producers (ABRAMILHO) and other entities.

During the visit to China, the delegation met with the China Seed Association (CNSA) to discuss the importance of biotechnology in food security, given the need to adapt to climate change.

The delegation also met with Chinese representatives at the Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), whose focus is research for developing agricultural crops.
