With the aim of establishing long-term strategic cooperation, the governments of Brazil and China signed an agreement between the two countries on November 4, establishing a maritime route from the Port of Santana (AP) to the Port of Gaolan in China.

The agreement will cover areas such as maritime route development, integrated logistics, technology exchange and talent training. The partnership also defines the guidelines for the creation of a direct sea route between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay and the Port of Santana, which will reduce transportation time by 14 days compared to traditional routes.

In addition to facilitating the import of biofertilizers, the protocol also establishes the Port of Santana das Docas as a central focus for the entry and exit of products between Brazil and China. The aim is to expand the flow of agricultural raw materials produced in Amapá and other regions of Brazil to China in the future
