On October 5, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, announced that Mozambique will have a National Surgical Center, a modern facility that will be built on the grounds of the Maputo Central Hospital (HCM) in partnership with China, during the inauguration of the Massinga District Hospital, in the southern province of Inhambane, in Mozambique.
The construction of the National Surgical Center was agreed during the head of state's recent visit to China. At the momente, the Preparations for the construction of the center have already begun.
The President stressed that it will be one of the largest health infrastructures in the country, and will include emergency services, medical emergencies, intensive care, an operating theater, surgical and orthopedic wards, as well as offices for administrative services, rooms for equipment and communication and information technologies, security and fire control systems.
