On September 24, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) hosted an important technical meeting with the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC). The Secretary of Trade and International Relations, Roberto Perosa, led the meeting, which was attended by the Chinese Vice-Minister, Zhao Zenglian.
During the meeting, strategic issues were discussed for expanding agricultural trade between Brazil and China, with a focus on reviewing and updating sanitary and phytosanitary protocols, further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
The Secretary Perosa stressed that the Sino-Brazilian strategic partnership is fundamental to the growth of agricultural trade, and Brazil and China were making progress on important protocols that will benefit producers and further expand export opportunities to the Chinese market.
