Deccan Gold Moçambique LDA, an indirect subsidiary of Deccan Gold Mines Ltd, has announced its first export of lithium ore to China, marking a significant step in the expansion of the company's operations in the country. The initial export, consisting of 150 tons of ore with a 2.5% Li2O content, was sent from one of the company's licensed areas in the country, reinforcing Mozambique's role as a strategic supplier of essential minerals for the global industry, reported CNBCTV18.
Deccan Gold Mozambique already has plans to increase exports to around 1,000 tons per month in the “near future”, diversifying its offer with higher value-added products, such as high-grade spodumene, with 4% Li2O, and lepidolite with 2% Li2O.
