Brazilian footwear imports from China increase 261% in June compared to the same month in 2023

In June, more than 705 thousand pairs of Chinese shoes entered Brazil, 261% more than in the same month last year.


In the month, total imports in this sector totaled 3.3 million pairs, 63.7% more than in the sixth month of 2023. In the first half of the year, total imports totaled 18.72 million pairs, 11.4 % more than in the same range last year. The data is prepared by the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (Abicalçados).


The main destination for Brazilian exports in the first half of the year was the United States, which imported the equivalent of 5.11 million green-yellow pairs, 3.8% less than in the same period last year. The second destination for Brazilian products in the six months was Argentina, which imported 4.6 million pairs from Brazil, 41.1% less than in 2023.
