Representatives from the Chinese delegation visited Suframa's headquarters on June 27. The objective was to discuss the prospects for economic and commercial cooperation between China and Brazil.

“We know that the Manaus Free Zone is the largest free zone in the world and also the most successful free zone in Latin America. We are curious to know more about ZFM”, noted Han Wenxiu, deputy executive director of the Office of the Central Finance and Economic Commission of China, who led the delegation.

During the meeting, Suframa employees gave a comprehensive presentation on the functioning of the Manaus Free Trade Zone, highlighting the tax advantages and possibilities for technological innovations. The acting Suframa representative contextualized the history of rubber production in the Amazon.
