The BYD Seal is the big winner in the category dedicated to 100% electric family models, in the 'ACP Tram of the Year' election.
The Chinese model won the votes of thousands of people who took part in the contest organized by the Automóvel Clube de Portugal. The BYD Seal won the most votes out of around 12,000 in the "Family" category.
Five other models were in the running: the Hyundai IONIQ 5, the Peugeot E308 SW, the Škoda Enyaq, the smart #3 and the Volkswagen ID.7.
The 'AC'P Electric Car of the Year' competition aims to choose the Portuguese people's favorite electric car model in four categories: Road, City, Family and Premium. With the voting for the family models now closed, the next vote will be for the Premium category on July 15, followed by the City category on October 15 and the Road category on December 15.
This prize will be awarded at the end of all the votes, on January 15, 2025, at 3pm. There will also be a prize of 250 euros in top-ups on the ACP Electric APP for four participants who voted for the winning cars in each of the categories.
