The Chinese BYD has just signed a partnership with Shell (England) and Raízen to install charging hubs in eight capital cities starting this year. São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Salvador and Belém will be the cities covered by the program, which will use the Shell Recharge network and the Tupinambá digital platform, acquired by Raízen.

The formalization took place in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, with representatives from the three companies. The cooperation provides a total of 600 charging points for electric vehicles, totaling 18 megawatts (MW). This infrastructure must be installed within a maximum period of three years, according to the stated schedule.

The objective of the agreement is to significantly expand the public network of electrical chargers in the country's main capitals, with 100% clean and renewable energy.
