The International Institute of Macau, the Macau Millennium College and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of European Studies have agreed to co-operate in promoting Chinese culture in Europe, particularly in Portugal, Ponto Final reports.
The Macao newspaper quotes International Institute of Macau Secretary-General Rufino Ramos as saying the aspects of Chinese culture to be promoted could include calligraphy, theatre, music, martial arts and academic research.
Mr Ramos said the International Institute of Macau would concentrate on translating some Chinese Academy of Social Sciences books into Portuguese, Ponto Final says.
