The National Ballet of China has put on a performance in Brasilia to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Brazilian diplomatic relations, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese government-run news agency says the company performed classical and newly composed Chinese pieces before an audience over 2,000 strong.
The report says Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Yang Wanming and Brazilian Secretary of the Government Carlos Alberto dos Santos Cruz were in the audience.
It quotes Mr Yang as saying China is amenable to more cultural exchanges to strengthen the Sino-Brazilian partnership.
Brazil considers the Sino-Brazilian relationship important, and Brazilian Vice-president Hamilton Mourão’s current visit of to China will contribute to the development of the relationship, Xinhua quotes Mr Santos Cruz as saying.
