A delegation from the Chinese Football Association is touring Portugal this week to learn more about successfully training players and coaches, the Portuguese sports daily A Bola reports.
The association’s vice-chairman of youth football training, Fei Jian, visited training facilities used by the Portuguese Football Federation, the FPF in Portuguese, and met the federation’s president Fernando Gomes.
According to an FPF press release quoted by the newspaper, the Chinese delegation expressed “great interest” in learning from Portugal’s experience, namely in the school system for young players.
The Chinese delegation also visited a training academy used by Sporting Clube de Portugal, a top club.
