The Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation between Guangdong and Macao has helped Macao and Mainland Chinese enterprises register six Chinese traditional medicines in Mozambique, the Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper quotes Lu Hong, who is in charge of the operator of the park, as saying in an interview that two of the medicines have gone on sale in Mozambique and are gaining a good reputation there.

Ms Lu said the park was now helping with the registration in Mozambique of seven other sorts of Chinese traditional medicine.

She said the park had arranged 11 courses of training in the use of Chinese traditional medicine for officials and health workers in Portuguese-speaking parts of the world.

In marketing Chinese traditional medicine abroad, the park will make full use of Macao as a place where China and lusophone countries can conduct business, the Macao Daily News quotes Ms Lu as saying.

The park is a joint endeavour by the governments of Macao and the adjoining Mainland Chinese province of Guangdong.
