Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) President Jackson Chang says his institute is “very interested” in promoting trade with São Tomé and Príncipe, Macauhub reports.
The website quotes Mr Chang as saying that IPIM is awaiting “clear guidelines” from the Chinese Central Government about trade relations between Mainland China and São Tomé and Príncipe.
“IPIM is interested in exploring the São Tomé and Príncipe market by carrying out missions involving Chinese companies,” the report quotes Mr Chang as saying on the sidelines of a Sino-Portuguese meeting about environmental matters in Lisbon.
The Mainland and São Tomé and Príncipe resumed diplomatic relations in December.
