he Angolan government has awarded Mainland Chinese companies China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd. and Sinohydro Corp. Ltd. contracts together worth US$459.6 million for work in Sumbe in the province of Cuanza Sul, Jornal de Angola reports.
The newspaper says the government gave China Harbour Engineering two jobs, together worth US$311.2 million, to build infrastructure and do slope stabilisation work.
The government gave Sinohydro a third job, worth US$130.8 million, and the contract to supervise and co-ordinate all the work, worth US$17.6 million, Jornal de Angola says.
