Trade between Jiangsu province and Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to nearly US$10.99 billion last year, says the government-run news agency Xinhua.
Xinhua reports Jiangsu accounted for 11 percent of all trade between the mainland and Portuguese-speaking Countries, which include Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and East Timor.
There are currently 148 projects linked to the Portuguese-speaking Countries in Jiangsu and 79 Jiangsu companies operating in Portuguese-speaking Countries.
The details of the trade relationship were unveiled during the Jiangsu-Macao Portuguese-speaking Countries Business Forum held in Macao last week.
Meanwhile, Macao and Jiangsu have announced they want to build a trade park in Changzhou prefecture.
