Trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries hit US$64.68 billion in the first half of 2014, up by 6.83 percent from a year earlier, according to data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

Chinese imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries were up 9.10 percent year-on-year in the first six months of the year, reaching US$44.22 billion. China sold goods and services to Portuguese-speaking Countries worth US$20.46 billion during the period, up by 2.25 percent from a year earlier.

Total trade value for the month of June reached US$11.33 billion, down by 5.53 percent from the previous month.

The value of China’s imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries fell by 6 percent month-on-month to US$7.86 billion in June, while exports to those countries reached US$3.46 billion, a decline of 4.44 percent from the previous month.
