The Angola-China Bilateral Joint Commission will meet on the 10th of August in Luanda to assess the current state of cooperation between the two countries and draw up new guidelines.

The announcement was made to the Angolan press in Beijing by Angola's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China, João dos Santos Neto. Within the framework of this mechanism, the diplomat said that there is a prospect of the signing by the parties of memoranda in the field of Agriculture, Fisheries and Reciprocal Investment Protection Agreement.

In a cooperation focused on several sectors, with "excellent and historical" relations between the two countries, Angola intends to adjust the trade balance, diversifying exports to the Asian giant, in addition to traditional oil.

With China currently exporting manufactured goods to Angola, Ambassador João dos Santos Neto hopes that the next meeting of the Joint Bilateral Commission will increase the areas of cooperation that attract more Chinese businessmen to the country.
