On the 15th of August, representatives of the Chinese group Hebei Haode Rubber & Plastics - which produces conveyor belts for industrial plants in mining, steel and food factories, among others, in various countries around the world - visited Mayor Arnaldinho Borgo's office.

The purpose of the meeting was to present a project that envisages the company setting up a production unit in Vila Velha.

According to Haode's Business Director, the group's initial investment in Vila Velha is expected to be 15 million dollars, or approximately 75 million reais. "In this industrial plant we will install eight production lines. Our priority now is to work out the business model with local partners so that we can plan the start of the installation process for our plant in Espírito Santo, which will be the first in Brazil."
