According to the president of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, Luís Cupenala, who said on the 18th of March, at the launch of the sales of the “Orlando Residencial” residences, three thousand jobs have already been created in this first phase of construction, in the Chinese project estimated at $400 million, equivalent to 204.8 billion kwanzas. With the building, ten thousand jobs are being created in the private sector of civil construction.

The Minister of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing, Carlos Alberto Gregório dos Santos, said that the housing construction will reduce the housing deficit and that the construction directed and implemented by the State will allow private companies to make investments and regulate the market.

According to the minister, the State has already provided more than 130 thousand houses, but will continue to bet on directed auto-construction, in which young people will have access to housing.
