Tevx Motors, the Brazilian subsidiary of the Chinese Higer Bus, announced on the 17th of April that it will supply 15 Azure electric buses, 13 standard and 2 articulated, for the city of Cascavel, in Paraná. With that, Cascavel becomes the first city in southern Brazil to have the market’s most modern electric bus fleet.
50,000 of the 330,000 buses already produced by the Higer brand are electric and are from the Azure line, which debuted in 2019 and has more than 7,000 units in operation worldwide.
With an annual revenue of US$ 5.5 billion and the capacity to produce 35,000 buses annually, Higer Bus exports around 30% of its production to dozens of countries.
The forecast is that from 2024 the manufacture of buses will begin in Brazil, in the future factory in Pecém (CE).
