There is an urgent need for sustained training in skills for Angola’s citizens, China’s Ambassador to the African nation, Gao Kexiang, said on Tuesday in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
According to Angolan news agency Angop, the Ambassador stated Angola has continued to experience a very rapid socioeconomic development. He also stressed the importance given by the Angolan Government to the training of local talents. The administration has set up several training institutions.
The diplomat said such training and education entities not only met the demand generated by the country’s rapid economic growth, but also helped develop women’s role in society and the economy, Angop reported.
Mr Gao also pledged – as quoted by the media outlet – that the Chinese Embassy in Angola would continue to encourage Sino-Angolan civil bodies and Chinese enterprises to take part in initiatives that would benefit both countries.
China’s Ambassador to Angola was speaking at a ceremony marking the delivery of musical instruments and educational equipment to the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security. It is for use by the women’s training centre at the Angolan Vocational Training Institute INEFOP.
