Macau has signed several cooperation protocols with higher education institutions in Portugal and Mainland China

The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Elsie Ao Ieong, who visited Portugal in May, one month after the head of government, Ho Iat Seng, recalled that different cooperation protocols have been signed, with the DSEDJ signing a protocol with the Catholic University of Portugal to create better conditions for learning Portuguese for students who intend to continue their studies in Portugal.

The University of Porto and IPOR signed a cooperation protocol, under which Macau high school graduates can be directly directed to continue their studies in undergraduate and integrated bachelor’s and master’s degree courses at the University of Porto, if their Portuguese language proficiency and academic level are adequate, he said.

At the same time, the three public higher education institutions in Macau signed several cooperation protocols respectively with higher education institutions in Portugal and Mainland China to develop the advantages of Macau as a platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries.
