New Brazil-China shipping line promises to boost biofertilizer transportation

From April 14, the port of Gaolan (Zhuhai) will connect directly to Brazil, promising to reduce transport times by up to 30 days, as well as logistical costs by up to 30%. 


Signed last year, the protocol of intentions between Companhia Docas de Santana, in the municipality of Santana (AP), and the administrative committee of the Zhuhai Economic and Technological Development Zone, in China, brought together authorities from both countries. 


After the biofertilizers, the structure will expand the flow of agricultural raw materials from Amapá and other regions to China. China will export biofertilizers through the Port of Santana, which will be spread throughout Brazil, mainly to the Midwest region, in addition to also being in Amapá, and in return Brazil will send soybeans.
