The Farmers' cooperatives in São Tomé and Príncipe are to receive machinery and new technologies. In a partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and the embassy of the People's Republic of China, more than four containers of equipment have arrived in the country to begin modernizing agriculture.

As part of its cooperation in the agricultural sector, China has already trained several technical staff from the São Tomé and Príncipe's Ministry of Agriculture and continues to introduce practical technologies into the agricultural sector.

The China's ambassador to São Tomé and Príncipe, Xu Yingzhen, said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to strengthening pragmatic cooperation with São Tomé and Príncipe in the agricultural sector. The diplomat expressed confidence that new machinery and new technologies will guarantee agricultural efficiency and food security in São Tomé and Príncipe.
