Trade between China, Portuguese-speaking Countries tops US$208.644 bln in January-November 2024

Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$208.644 billion from January to November 2024. It represented a 4.35 percent increase year-on-year, according to data from China Customs. Portuguese-speaking Countries sold goods worth US$129.94 billion to China in the first eleventh months of 2024 – an increase of 2.26 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise exports to those countries reached US$78.704 billion in the same period, up 17.45 percent year-on-year.


The total value of merchandise traded in November between the parties topped US$17.433 billion, a decrease of 11.54 percent from the prior-year period. The value of China’s merchandise imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$10.698 billion, down 20.05 percent year-to-year, according to Chinese official data. China sold goods to those countries worth US$6.735 billion in November, an increase of 6.46 percent compared with the previous year.
