On November 27, the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste, in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), provided furniture and textbooks to the Central Basic School (EBC) of Sérgio Vieira de Mello in Becora, Dili.

The EBC Sérgio Vieira de Mello received more than two thousand chairs and more than 200 textbooks. The Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Wang Wenli, said that the donation is part of the support for schools affected by the floods that occurred on April 4, 2021. 

Wang Wenli also stressed in her speech the necessity to continue supporting the reconstruction of schools affected by the floods.
