Angola signs four agreements with Chinese companies in Beijing

On the 4th of September, Angola's Minister of Transport, Ricardo d'Abreu, announced in Beijing the signing of four new agreements with Chinese companies, two of which with Huawei, a multinational network and telecommunications equipment company.


These agreements, signed during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), cover the areas of large-scale infrastructure and technology. 


In the field of infrastructure, the minister explained, the agreements include intervention in the route of the Cabinda Railway, the Caio Terminal for the two Congos (DRC and Republic of Congo) and also the Memorandum of Understanding on the Surface Metro, on the Cacuaco/Benfica route.


The two agreements in the technological field, according to Ricardo d'Abreu, were signed with Huawei and relate to the digital transition process in the transport sector.
