In August, the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) of Brazil and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) signed cooperation agreements in the area of certification of aeronautical products. These agreements reinforce the partnership between Brazil and China and contribute to the advancement of safety and efficiency in aeronautical certification processes.
Among the agreements signed was a revision of the Airworthiness Implementation Procedures (IPA). The document establishes the mutual procedures for validating and accepting design and manufacturing approvals for aeronautical products and articles, in addition to export/import and continued airworthiness procedures. This revision brings important improvements to the agreement as it increases predictability, uniformity and efficiency in these processes.
The Cooperation Roadmap was also signed on the occasion, defining the priority areas in which the two aviation authorities should focus their efforts in the coming years and establishing the objectives that should be achieved. In addition to the agreements, topics such as international action, new technologies and future expectations in civil aviation were discussed.
