On August 14, the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) received a visit from a delegation of representatives from the Chinese group Luckin Coffee. The company is a partner with ApexBrasil for the commercialization and dissemination of Brazilian coffee in China.
Yan Yan Zhao, an executive at Luckin Coffee, highlighted the power of Brazilian coffee, stating that Brazil is the world's largest producer and exporter of coffee and the main producer of Arabica coffee beans. She added that, to create a global coffee brand, they import the best raw materials, including Brazilian coffee, and that their research groups, led by masters from the WBC (World Barista Championship), have already visited several countries, including Brazil, in search of the best suppliers.
The president of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana, believes that the partnership with Luckin Coffee will boost the Brazilian brand in the export and consumption of coffee around the world, boosting the internationalization of Brazilian coffee and the Brazilian brand.
