The new national plan on exports, being drawn up by the Government of Brazil, will be published in March, said the Minister of Development, Industry and Trade, Armando Monteiro Neto. It will focus on finding new markets for Brazilian exports and on cutting bureaucratic procedures, he said, quoted by news agency Agência Brazil
Mr Monteiro Neto said the new measures would have minimal fiscal impact.
“All participants understand that the time is right for adjustment, which is necessary to restore macroeconomic balance and strengthen the confidence in the economy in order to boost investment,” he said.
The Minister said that the national plan for exports is being developed in partnership with the private sector.
“This is not a just Government plan. More than 50 sectors of the economy were consulted. Now, workers and unions will also be heard. We want to finish the consultations in the coming weeks to collect the contributions and announce the plan by March,” said Mr Monteiro Neto.
