First stone has already been laid for the construction of Shopping Huambo

The Chinese ambassador to Angola, Zang Bing, laid the first stone for the construction of Shopping Huambo on June 29, in a ceremony witnessed by Elmano Francisco, vice-governor for Technical Services and Infrastructure of Huambo. The project is an initiative of a Chinese group and is budgeted at US$12 million.


The construction of what will be seen as a large commercial complex is expected to last two years and will be carried out in the former industrial area of São Pedro, on the outskirts of Huambo.


The project will have 11 buildings, 390 stores, a square, and an apartment complex, writes Angop.


In addition, the development will also include areas to sell food, decoration materials and real estate, supermarkets, banks, commercial offices, restaurants, entertainment and leisure services, among others.
