A delegation, led by the vice president of the Chinese city of Shenzhen, was received at the Town Hall, by the vice president of Porto City Council, Filipe Araújo.

Wang Shourui and Filipe Araújo took advantage of the meeting to strengthen ties between the two twin cities, having discussed several topics of interest to Porto and Shenzhen. 

Shenzhen is one of the most advanced cities in the world in terms of technology. In addition to Shenzhen, Porto also has twinnings with Macau and Shanghai, with which it has established cooperative relations in areas such as culture, tourism, education, commerce and industry, technological innovation, heritage rehabilitation, health, transport and investment.

Wang Shourui was accompanied by 11 other people linked to Shenzhen, in addition to two representatives of associations from the Portugal-China SME Chamber of Commerce.
