Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Angola highlights progress in cooperation with Angola

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Angola, Chen Feng, who spoke at the Chinese New Year celebration ceremony, confessed that the past year proved significant in relations between the two countries. High-level exchanges between China and Angola were frequent and close, while levels of interaction flourished. She added that the visits to Angola by the Chinese Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Trade serve as an example of the progress achieved in cooperation.


"In 2023, there were many good developments for China-Angola pragmatic cooperation. The annual volume of bilateral trade reached 23.05 billion US dollars and Angola once again became China's second-largest trading partner in  Africa," she said.


According to the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns de Oliveira, the People's Republic of China is a privileged partner for Angola due to their cooperative relationship that has lasted for several years. He also said this new year will be a good opportunity for Angola and China to reaffirm their interest in deepening bilateral relations.
