In recent years, there has been a growing demand from Brazilian companies to open branches in China. According to a study by the Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC), the number of Brazilian companies with branches in China has grown from 100 in 2000 to 500 in 2023.

The CEBC study also indicated that the majority of Brazilian companies that have opened branches in China are concentrated in sectors such as agribusiness, technology, industry and services.

The CEBC estimates that the number of Brazilian companies with branches in China will continue to grow, reaching 1,000 by 2028. This trend is positive for the Brazilian economy and could generate jobs, investments and new business opportunities, as well as diversifying exports, which are currently focused on agribusiness.

Companies such as Havaianas, Embraer and Suzano are already taking advantage of the opportunities in the Chinese market by expanding their operations. It is expected that more Brazilian companies will seek to establish branches in China, capitalizing on the vast potential of this market.
