Representatives of the governments of China and Brazil held the 9th Meeting of the Economic-Trade and Cooperation Subcommittee of the Sino-Brazilian High-Level Concertation and Cooperation Commission (Cosban) on the 21st of November in Beijing.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of China's Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom), was led by Vice-Minister Wang Shouwen. On the Brazilian side, Cosban is chaired by the Vice President of the Republic and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Geraldo Alckmin
On the agenda was a general assessment of bilateral relations, as well as a discussion of opportunities associated with trade and investment between the two countries. China and Brazil discussed how investments in infrastructure and manufacturing can contribute to Brazil's efforts towards neo-industrialisation. In this context, they highlighted recent investments in electromobility in Brazil. They also addressed opportunities associated with the ecological transition, including investments in energy, technology and decarbonisation.
