On October 16, the president of Inmetro, Márcio André Brito, received the director-general of China's National Institute of Metrology (NIM), Fang Xiang, accompanied by his entourage at the Inmetro Campus in Xerém/RJ.
At the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed which provides for foreign funding in strategic areas such as training, exchange and support for industry in the two-wheeled and white goods sectors of the Manaus Free Trade Zone.
"We're going to build a work plan so that, in addition to training, we can develop work in the areas of biotechnology, nanomaterials, food (certification of origin) and Legal Metrology, among others. With the NIM this is a real opportunity, especially in this relationship of many years," commented the president of Inmetro.
