Four new reservoirs built by China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP) will begin supplying water fit for drinking to about 17,000 households in the municipality of Mucari in the Angolan province of Malanje, beginning in August, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency quotes Mucari Administrator Sebastião Rodrigo Manuel as saying construcion of the reservoirs is at an advanced stage.

The report says the reservoirs will have a combined capacity of 900,000 litres of water.

CPP is a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corp. CPP is the main builder of pipelines in China and has some big projects in other countries, including Angola and Mozambique, Angop says.
