Representatives of the Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macao and the Lisbon School of Nursing have signed in Lisbon an agreement to increase exchanges of students and staff, the Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper says the agreement may help the Macao college turn out more accomplished nurses with a broader view of the world.

The report quotes Kiang Wu Nursing College President Van Iat Kio as saying his institution intends to strengthen its ties with Portugal and other parts of the lusophone world to give it a more international outlook.

To that end, the Macao college already has agreements with the Hospital and University Centre of Coimbra, and with the Luz Hospital in Lisbon, which is owned by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International Ltd, the Macao Daily News says.
