FGX Brasil sees Shanghai expo as gateway to Chinese market

The boss of Brazilian food company FGX Brasil says his company will show off to Chinese consumers the olive oil, biscuits, coffee and other products it sells when it exhibits at the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese government-run news agency quotes FGX Brasil Chief Executive Fábio Guimarães as saying the size of the Chinese market attracts to Brazilian exporters.

Mr Guimarães said he believed the Shanghai expo would be a good opportunity to show Brazilian products to Chinese consumers.

The report quotes an industrial association in the Brazilian state of São Paulo as saying about 120 representatives of 70 Brazilian companies would exhibit.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai City Government are arranging the expo.
