Outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin has said his government is interested in prompting further Chinese investment in Angolan farming and manufacturing, with a view to developing the country socially and economically, Angop reports.
The Angolan state-run news agency quotes a written statement issued by the Chinese Embassy in Luanda as saying Mr Cui said so when he called on Angolan President João Lourenço to say farewell.
Mr Cui told Mr Lourenço that China was optimistic about the economic development of Angola.
The ambassador praised economic reforms the Angolan government has made.
Mr Lourenço expressed hope for closer Sino-Angolan co-operation, and gratitude for Mr Cui’s contribution to Sino-Angolan relations, Angop quotes the Chinese Embassy as saying.
