The government forecasts that the Mozambican economy will grow at an annual rate of between 8 percent and 10 percent from 2023 onward as the country begins exporting of liquefied natural gas from the Rovuma Basin, Lusa reports.
Portuguese news agency cites information given in London by representatives of the government when they met creditors to discuss the restructuring of the debt owed by the Mozambican public sector.
The report says the government forecasts that gross domestic product will grow at an average annual rate of 3.4 percent between 2016 and 2022.
The Mozambican government hopes to balance its budget by 2022, Lusa reports.
