University of Lisbon to teach degree programmes in Shanghai

University of Lisbon Rector António Cruz Serra has said staff of his university posted to the University of Shanghai in China will begin next year teaching three programmes leading to bachelor’s degrees, Jornal de Negócios reports.

The Portuguese newspaper quotes Mr Cruz Serra as saying in an interview that his staff would teach electrical engineering, civil engineering and environmental engineering to up to 60 candidates for bachelor’s degrees.

Mr Cruz Serra said that in 2021 staff of his university attached to the University of Shanghai might begin teaching programmes leading to master’s degrees.

All programmes would include one semester of study in Lisbon, Mr Cruz Serra said.

All the necessary arrangements have been made, Jornal de Negócios quotes the rector as saying.
