The Angolan subsidiary of China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd has spent US$150,000 on building a centre for training its Angolan employees in occupational safety, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese government-run news agency says the training centre has a floor area of 600 square metres.

The report says the centre gives trainees simulated practical experience of aspects of occupational safety, and gives written and oral instruction.

The centre will eventually be used to give training in occupational safety to Angolans other than those employed by China Harbour Engineering, including workers employed by other Chinese-owned companies in Angola, Xinhua says.
