Chinese Ambassador to Angola Cui Aimin has said Chinese companies intend to invest in agriculture, forestry, tourism and logistics in the Angolan province of Huíla this year, Angop reports.
The Angolan news agency says Mr Cui said so after meeting Governor Marcelino Tyipinge of Huíla during a two-day visit to the province to look for opportunities for Sino-Angolan co-operation.
The report quotes the ambassador as saying Chinese companies and the provincial government were already in contact, without giving details.
Mr Cui said China would keep trying to promote investment in Huíla in other fields, Angop says.
