Consulting firm BMI Research forecasts that the annual rate of growth in gross domestic product in Mozambique will accelerate to 4.1 percent this year and 4.6 percent next year from 3.8 percent last year, Lusa reports.
The Portuguese news agency quotes BMI Research as saying economic growth will speed up because inflation is slow, exchange rates are steady and investment in infrastructure is increasing.
Between 2000 and 2015 the average annual rate of growth in Mozambican GDP was 7 percent, Lusa quotes the consulting firm as saying.
