Chinese civil aviation conglomerate HNA Group is expected to complete
its acquisition of a stake in Antônio Carlos Jobim International
Airport in Rio de Janeiro within the next 90 days, The Asset reports.
The
magazine says on its website that HNA Group is buying its stake in the
airport from Brazilian engineering group Odebrecht, which was part of a
consortium that acquired the airport, also called Galeão, in 2013.
The
report says the airport, 20km north of Rio de Janeiro, is the
second-busiest in Brazil, handling about 17 million passengers a year.
Galeão underwent extensive improvement for the Olympic Games held Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
