Cape Verde’s consumer confidence index was unchanged in the first quarter of this year, the country’s National Statistics Institute reports.
The index was steady at 10, the same result as the fourth quarter of last year. In comparison to the same period 12 months ago, the index had improved by six points. The average quarterly result since 2009 is a reading of 15.
“This result was due to a positive perspective on the financial situation of families, the economic situation and unemployment in the country for the next 12 months,” Cape Verde’s statistics bureau says.
